Built by Riders. Backed by Experience.
The BC Motorcycle Safety Foundation was established in 2021 by a group of experienced motorcyclists and safety professionals following a heartbreaking series of preventable rider deaths on BC highways. We believe motorcycling can be a safe, joyful, and lifelong pursuit — when riders have the right training, equipment, and community behind them.
We partner with the BC Coalition of Motorcyclists, ICBC, MotoCanada, the BC Ministry of Transportation, and the RCMP to deliver safety resources, advocacy, and community programs to riders of all experience levels — from the Lower Mainland to the Peace Region.

What We Do
Four Ways We Make BC Roads Safer
Safety Education
Free workshops, online lessons, and community events covering defensive riding, hazard recognition, emergency braking, and SIPDE technique.
Rider Advocacy
We advocate for safer road design, improved curve signage, and fair treatment of motorcyclists in BC's legal and insurance systems.
First Gear Program (Soon)
Our First Gear subsidy program provides discounted helmets and jackets to new riders who can't afford full PPE. Every rider deserves proper protection.
Family & Survivor Support
We connect families affected by motorcycle accidents with counselling referrals, legal resources, and peer support networks across BC.
